Let it Snow!
My earlier post about Old Man Winter should be updated to note the old coot has gone and taken up residence with no immediate signs of leaving. To summarize:
- We now have about 8 inches of snow on the ground, and should see another 2-8 inches tonight, and then a nice transistion to freezing rain.
- Pepper the dog gets a cool Santa Claus beard of snow every time she heads out to sniff around.
- Turbo the cat stepped out the front door this morning, had a quick look around and then headed back inside.
- Andy is still learning the rules of engagement when trying to start a snowball fight. I was out shoveling the walks this morning (more out of boredom, because they’re all covered with snow again), and Aray decided to start a snowball fight. A snow shovel full of snow over the head helped him to realize you shouldn’t pick a fight with a nuclear power – they might use said nuke.
- We are warm and toasty, and Andy got an extra week of Christmas vacation because of all the snow days last week.
- Finally, the garbage man is a wuss, and hasn’t been seen in two days.
